relax, beef

Books got out of the liberry:
The Book of Disquiet
Finite and Infinite Games
For They Know Not What They Do

  1. And ...? I would be interested to know whether you recommend them, what they meant to you etc. Apart from Pessoa, that is. I bought it, and remain grateful to you for the tip.

  2. Nonzero is great- got that back out of the library to finish. Disquiet and Cosmopolitanism I started and have to get back out again - but both solid. The Žižek is a little academe-heavy for evening reading - I'll stick to his writings available on the web for now.

  3. talking about academe-heavy, or rather French-intellectual heavy, which is much worse, I got 2 books of Georges Bataille from the library. I might get the overall general drift (from the blurb at the back) but it's hard to unravel any particular sentence, for the words, ideas and metaphors don't seem to hang together.

But I'll stick with Pessoa, and bless you daily for that introduction.
